What Does A Receiver Do?
The fundamental role of a receiver is the custodial management of and fiduciary responsibility for the property, assets and rights of others. These assets can be either are tangible (such as real estate property) or intangible (such as intellectual property). While the initial objective is possession, protection and preservation of the assets, the overall goal of a receiver is to maximize the returns on these assets either through a going-concern sale, or liquidation.
There are three basic types of receiver appointments:
1. Court-appointed
2. Privately-appointed
3. Government-appointed
How We Benefit You
With over 18 years experience as Court-Appointed Receivers, including more than 15 receivership assignments as a Contractor for the Resolution Trust Company, we offer you the benefit of our experience. We handle all the details of the sale of a property, with very little effort required from a creditor.
Our experience has shown that there is a greater likelihood that the property will sell in less time when working with a Court-Appointed Receiver than through an execution sale. And, with the added benefit of being licensed as real estate brokers (for over 31 years), we have the ability to oversee the sale of the property on the open market, allowing us to attain maximum profitability for our clients.
